Q: What exactly is Thrashed?..
A: Easy! Thrashed is a clothing line based out of San Diego,CA owned by myself (RC:) and we make rockin clothing & apparel!
Q: Ok..so its Thrashed Jeans are jeans all that Thrashed makes & has to offer?
A: NO way! We do it all!! Tanks, tees, hoodies, jeans (of course!), & other denim bottoms such as capris, shorts & skirts (jewelry & accessories soon!). Plus+ we have a custom couture line called "House Of THRASHED" which is more of a dressier and formal collection which is 100% custom!
Q: I learned about Thrashed through myspace..is there another site?
A: YES! Of course there is! We consider our Myspace page a promo page & something that our customers can easily link to...our official website & online store you can find at www.thrashedjeans.com we launched our site in late 06'.
Q:What is Thrashed Army?
A: Thrashed Army is an awesome way to stay in touch with Thrashed and stay in the know about what's happening, why..where and how! Thrashed Army is our official mailing list... you can sign up here and every month you will receive all the info on Thrashed for that month, special offers and the inside scoop on all things Thrashed that only Army members receive.
Q: How did you start your own line so young & what inspired you?
A: Well as far as what inspired me, I always loved fashion, designers and the entire industry of all things couture & glam...it was an industry I always wanted to get into and a place where I felt comfortable totally. Thrashed simply started by me ripping up a pair of jeans that I bought but honestly wasn't too crazy about and totally distressing, dying and embellishing them like crazy..I wore the jeans to school and with the reaction I got I knew where to go. I started making versions of my jeans for friends and then soon for people in my classes at school...I then decided I needed to turn all of that into to something bigger and from that point I turned it into Thrashed. I have gotten a ton of financial support from family and a very good friend...and alot of business advice from not only professionals but friends and people who matter the most...customers! But, Thrashed has come a long way from that one pair of jeans into a steadily growing business.
Q: All the pix I see on the site & myspace are so awesome! Where do you get the ideas from??
A: Honestly I don't come up with all the ideas for shoots myself...as a matter of fact most of the ideas for shoots come from my models or other friends! All my models are such awesome individuals with such diverse personalities and backgrounds and are all such rockin people to work with...they all have crazy kick ass ideas and we usually do photo shoots based on awesome spur of the moment ideas!
Q:What kind of tools & chemicals are involved in distressing the jeans?
A: That my friends...is our little secret...I will tell you this...we use multiple tools to destroy our denim some are things you could find around the house other tools are specially made for the task...and as for the chemicals we treat our jeans to...of course bleach is an obvious one but we also use other special concoctions and washes made specially for Thrashed!
